The purpose of this blog is to apply psychoanalytical theory to Irish culture and society. Psychoanalysis describes the phenomenology of the psyche at four dimensions. Firstly, it analyses the conscious and unconscious aspects of the psyche. Secondly, it examines the continuum between madness and sanity. Thirdly, it elucidates the relationship between the individual and culture, and finally it explores the link between all of these dimensions.
